Samori Ture

Samori Ture built the Wassoulou Empire from the ground up and resisted French colonial expansion for nearly two decades through brilliant guerrilla tactics. He manufactured his own firearms and repeatedly relocated his entire empire to avoid capture. His prolonged resistance remains one of the most remarkable military achievements in African history.
